WNFGA Branch Trailwood Garden Club mission is to stimulate interest in educational and horticultural activities, to promote civic beautification of our community and share the love of gardening through friendship.
Trailwood Garden Club was established in Plymouth, Michigan, in 1976. The club is the 100th local chapter of the Woman’s National Farm & Garden Association. Trailwood Garden Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Membership is open to all.
While celebrating our historic ties to the national women’s organization, today’s members of Trailwood Garden Club are men and women, amateur and professional gardeners, united by a common interest in plants and plant lore, sustainable and eco-friendly garden practices and a love of the outdoors and nature.
Club meetings take place from 6:30-8:45 p.m., generally on the third Tuesday of each month at the Plymouth Township Hall at Ann Arbor Road and Haggerty Road in Plymouth or the Plymouth District Library next to Plymouth City Hall. Each meeting features socializing and a discussion of club business. Meetings typically include a presentation on horticultural or ecological topics. Members volunteer to act as hostess (2 per meeting) to provide snacks for meeting.
Our annual garden walk fundraiser is a popular event that showcases the wonderful gardens around Plymouth, Canton and surrouding communities. Donations from this fundraiser support local charities such as the Plymouth Public Library, Friends of the Rouge, and other local charities. We have the following additional activities such as planting in downtown Plymouth and Plymouth Township Hall, seasonal potlucks and access to National and Michigan division conferences and events.
Annual dues are $20. For information about joining, please refer to “Contact Us” tab.
