Trailwood Garden Club was established in Plymouth Township, Michigan, in 1976. Membership is open to all, though most participants are residents of Plymouth, Plymouth Township, Canton Township and nearby suburbs.
The mission of the Trailwood Garden Club is “to stimulate interest in educational and horticultural activities, to promote beautification of our community, friendship and the love of gardening.” The club is the 100th local chapter of the Woman’s National Farm & Garden Association.
While celebrating our historic ties to the national women’s organization, today’s members of Trailwood Garden Club are men and women, amateur and professional gardeners, united by a common interest in plants and plant lore, sustainable and eco-friendly garden practices and a love of the outdoors and nature.
Membership
Club meetings take place from 6:30-8:45 p.m., generally on the third Tuesday of each month at the Plymouth Township Hall at Ann Arbor and Haggerty Roads in Plymouth or the Plymouth District Library next to Plymouth City Hall. Each meeting features socializing, and a discussion of club business. Meetings at the Plymouth District Library also feature a presentation on horticultural or ecological topics by an expert speaker. Additional seasonal activities take place throughout the year.
